Liverpool have announced the renewal of their sponsorship deal with American bank Standered Chartered, revealing that the company have agreed a deal to extend their current contract with the Reds until 2019.

A deal for the bank's logo to appear across the front of Liverpool's iconic red shirts was first agreed in July 2010, before being extended in 2013 and again now. Financial details of the agreement haven't been realeased, but it is rumoured that it is one of the most lucrative in the Barclays Premier League.

Liverpool's partnership with Standard Chartered has enabled them to take part in some excellent charity programs with the company, to help victims of HIV and AIDS around the world, whilst educating others on the matter.

Also, once a year the Liverpool player's trade their 'Standard Chartered' logo for a 'Seeing is believing' logo, in aid of Standard Chartered's work to help those who are visually impaired. The game that Liverpool weart the shirts in is called the 'Perfect game' and has raised over $340,000 since its creation.

Liverpool's chief commercial officer, Billy Hogan, said: "This extension further demonstrates the great strength of our long-term relationship and the success of our partnership with Standard Chartered. The sponsorship of the Liverpool shirt is extremely prestigious and only five brands will have adorned the shirt in the 40 years since we created the sponsorship opportunity. At the end of this term we will have been working in partnership with Standard Chartered for almost a decade and we continue to collaborate on our shared values, passion and commitment to the community."
