Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has reportedly had enough with Mario Balotelli's poor form this season and is rumoured to be interested in replacing him with Atletico Madrid's Mario Mandzukic.

The constant transfer talk arises due to the fact that Liverpool is looking to cut ties with Mario Balotelli. The Italian striker has only scored one goal in 14 Premier League appearances and his performances have been quite poor so The Reds are already on the market looking for a replacement.

Even though there's only a rumor out there, it is believed that Rodgers is a huge fan of Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic and there could be a bid for the former Bayern Munich star who arrived to Vicente Calderon at the start of this season but he's reportedly looking to move elsewhere next season.

Mandzukic has posted good numbers for the current La Liga champions this season and he has already scored 20 goals for Los Rojiblancos. However, he's unsettled and he's not comfortable in Spain. In addition to that, his relationship with Diego Simeone is "almost inexistent" and he would welcome a move elsewhere in a heartbeat.

Mario Mandzukic is reported to be worth around £26 million, a bit of a hefty price tag but that could paid off if the Croatian keeps the same form he has had in recent years.
