Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho will be bidding for Copa America glory this summer after being called up to Dunga's Brazil squad, as he appears in his first major tournament for the national team.

The 22-year-old has been in inspired form for the Premier League side this campaign, and his efforts recently earned him a place in the PFA's Team of the Season. Those performances were enough to convience manager Dunga to include the midfielder into the final 23 man squad for the Copa America as he will participate in his first ever tournament with the senior national team.

The former Inter Milan midfielder has now received further reward in the form of a seat on the plane to Chile, where Brazil will target a ninth Copa America crown and their first since 2007. He also started in Brazil's recent friendly with Chile in London, but Dunga said then: "There is a lot of talk about Coutinho here in England because of what he's doing for Liverpool. I'd like to see the Brazilian fans clamouring for him too."

Dunga's men have been drawn alongside Peru, Colombia, the nation they beated in the World Cup on home soil last year in the quarterfinals and Venezuela in Group C. In what appears to be an easy group for the Selecao, Coutinho will hope to add to his tally of six senior caps in those games as he has been brought in over the injured starter for Chelsea and the national team, Oscar.

This year's edition of the Copa America kicks off on June 11, with the final scheduled for July 4.
