Liverpool FC have today confirmed that the first game of their 2015-16 pre season will be played in Thailand, against a Thai Premier League All Star XI in mid-July.
The Reds will get their pre-season preparations underway in the same city as they did two years ago, Bangkok, the country's capital city.
July 14th is the set date for the club to begin their 6th sixth tour of Thailand, as they begin a summer workload that will include visit's to Brisbane, Adelaide and Kuala Lumpur.
Aswell as playing the fixture, set to be held at the Rajamangala Stadium, Liverpool will take part in a series of community events. This will see ex-players such as Robbie Fowler and Ian Rush accompany the squad on the journey, as they seek to promote the Liverpool FC foundation worldwide.
Midfielder Joe Allen was asked to comment on the confirmation, and said the following: "With so many Liverpool fans in Thailand, the opportunity to play in the country is fantastic and the team are really looking forward to it.
"The reception the club recieved during the 2013 visit was unbelievable and I am looking forward to experiencing that passion and delivering some great football."
