According to the Daily Star, Yaya Touré has rejected an outrageous £40m move to cross-town rivals Manchester United.

The Ivorian's future with the Premier League champions remains in the balance after a series of disagreements with City chiefs. However, the 31-year-old has since deleted his personal Twitter account in a bid to deter any more controversy.

Touré is believed to be keen on leaving Manchester City, but only for French champions Paris Saint Germain or former club Barcelona. Manchester United are reportedly willing to offer the African Player of the Year a mega-deal that would rival his current contract at the Etihad Stadium, but the midfielder has no interest in switching to Old Trafford.
