Manchester City team

Caballero 7/10: Left flat-footed for Milan's goal as the ball trickled across his goal with everyone missing it. Made two great saves when faced with one-on-ones. Distribution very impressive. Can forsee a major battle with Joe Hart for the number one spot this season.

Clichy 7/10: Looks very comfortable at right back as well as left back later in the match. Causing all sorts of problems along with Navas down Milan's left hand side. Brilliant run and good cross for Sinclair's goal.

Kolarov 7/10: Solid defending as well as attacking for someone often criticised when on the back foot. Came across and covered well when Nastasic was caught out of position.

Boyata 6/10: Calm and composed. Looks a good player when confident. Glimpses of his scapegoated side when he comically fell over. If Pellegrini can figure out how to get him playing like this regularly then he can become much more then just a homegrown quota filler.

Nastasic 6/10: Generally solid but shows signs of the loss of form he suffered last season.

Fernando 7/10: Brilliant again. One of those players who has a very defined role in the team, and carries it out superbly. Great signing.

Navas 8/10: Linking up well with Clichy to torment Milan down the flank. Lightning quick and he uses it to devestating effect. Beautifully weighted pass for Jovetic's goal.

Zuculini 7/10: Tenacious as usual, but showing us that he can do more then just tackle. Gets his head up and sprays passes about. Impressive

Sinclair 6/10: Took his goal well but seems to dissapear for most of the game.

Jovetic 9/10, Glimpses of the player who City paid for last summer. Neat footwork and two clinical finishes.

Iheanacho 7/10: Not as impressive as his debut but still a fine performance from the youngster. Quick thinking to toe-poke his shot but was lucky it resulted in a goal.

Subs

Huws (62' for Iheanacho) 6/10: Added more cover as a midfielder. Quiet but tidy.

Garica (62' for Fernando) 7/10: Another who looks a different player when full of confidence. Was linking up very well up untill a poor pass which almost resulted in a goal for Milan. Reverted into the more nervous player after that.

Guidetti (69' for Jovetic) 5/10: Poor from the Swede. never looked dangerous and seems like his chances to prove his worth are fading fast.

Richards (69' for Kolorov) 6/10: A decent, powerful showing but one would think that it's one of few left.

Rodwell (77' for Zuculini) N/A: Looked keen to impress but not enough time to make an impact.

Leigh (77' for Navas) N/A: No time to impress.

Rekik (77' for Boyata) N/A: Tried to be clever and turn the oncomming striker. Was lucky when an offside call saved him.
