Yaya Touré has revealed he is open to a move away from Manchester City this summer, stating that money is not the motivating factor when he decides on his future.
The Ivorian midfielder earns a hefty wage of £200,000-a-week and has two years left on his current contract with The Citzens. However, his poor and inconsistent displays in the 2014-15 campaign have come in for massive criticism from the media and City supporters alike, stating that he deserves to pull his weight a lot more for someone of his quality and importance to the team.
This in turn, has led to transfer speculation linking him with a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain and Roberto Mancini's Inter Milan side, both of which are interested in his services and are reportedly ready to spend in excess of £40million pounds for him.
Mancini, his former boss at City until he was sacked two years ago, has told Italian media of late that it would be a "dream" to re-unite the two, and Touré has described him as a "mentor" recently too, stirring more rumours.
Touré had this to say: "No amount of wages will make me stay at a club if I feel that I no longer belong there or if no challenge exists for me. It would be unjust on my part. There comes a moment where numbers don't stop us, it goes beyond that. I don't know more than you do, because I will always go where I am offered new challenges. That is in my nature. When things are not going well at a club, the key players take the fall."
