Reports from the Carrington training ground of Manchester United suggests that Danny Welbeck is considering his future with the Premier league’s defending champions. Welbeck is unhappy playing wide under Moyes and has registered his preference for a central role.

The Three Lions' striker is not happy with his lack of opportunity as a striker under Moyes and is now considering his future at Old Trafford. With the close season just a couple of weeks from now, Welbeck’s premier league status as a winner with Manchester United in 2013 and 21 international caps with England will make him an obvious target for some premier league teams.

North London outfits, Tottenham and Arsenal are reported to be interested in Welbeck and Tottenham is said to be readying a £20m offer. Welbeck is said to be aware of the interests for his signature and is set to weigh careful his options at the end of the season despite still having two years on his £70,000-a-week contract.

Two goals in all competitions for United last season has been followed by 10 this term in 38 games, a situation that has seen him drop down the pecking order with little game time. Although Welbeck has had to struggle with injuries this season, he has not been impressive when he got chances to play either.

Relationship between Moyes and Welbeck are also said to have been strained. Moyes reportedly punished Welbeck together with Tom Cleverly and Ashley Young after the trio was sighted in a night out dancing on the street following the Champions League Quarter-final defeat to Bayern Munich. The act was in direct contrast to the directives of Moyes who had instructed that no player was allowed to stay out late within 48hrs of the tie.

A massive clear-out at Old Trafford has already been hinted with Nemanja Vidic sealing a move to Serie A giants, Inter Milan, the future of both Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand remains in the balance. Javier Hernandez, Nani, Ashley Young, Shinji Kagawa, Alexander Buttner, Ryan Giggs and Darren Fletcher are other players mooted to be on their way out of the club.
