Manchester United have agreed a £14 million fee with Ajax Amsterdam for versatile Dutch international Daley Blind.

Blind was part of Van Gaal's 23 man roster that finished 3rd at this summers World Cup in Brazil. It is said the pair were both keen to link back up at club level after the successful tournament.

The move remains subject to a medical and personal terms and if the deal goes through United will have spent over £150million this window including a British record fee for Angel Di Maria.

A club statement read: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Ajax to sign Daley Blind, subject to a medical and personal terms."

Blind has been left out of the Ajax squad that face Groningen today to allow him to hold talks with United.
