ESPN Brazil first reported the news and if the deal ends up happening then the Brazilian international would become Manchester United's second signing for the upcoming 2015-16 season.

Roberto Firmino has been Hoffenheim's best player over the last two seasons and he has drawn the attention from clubs all over Europe based on his eye for goal and his accuracy in the final third. He has caught the attention of Dunga and the manager has included him in the squad to play in the Copa America on this coming days.

The 23-year-old has a keen eye for goal both at the club level and with the National Team and he has already scored three goals in only six matches for La Selecao.

Where could Firmino fit in at Old Trafford?

Firmino's possible arrival is quite surprising for various reasons. He wasn't a player linked with Manchester United and the last rumour - that dated back to early April - spoke about a possible interest but nothing confirmed so it'd be stunning if the deal goes through. On the other hand, United has plenty of attacking options in the form of Angel Di Maria, Juan Mata, Adnan Januzaj and Ander Herrera so the arrival of Firmino will add even more competition for a place in the starting XI.

According to former player Elias - who first reported the deal on ESPN Brazil - the €18m deal is all but set and Firmino would take his medicals in Brazil while training with the National Team for the Copa America.

Roberto Firmino scored 12 goals in 38 appearances for Hoffenhaim last season. If the deal goes through, he would be Louis van Gaal's first signing as the Dutch gaffer is already making moves to build a squad that's strong enough to challenge for the Premier League title on the 2015-16 season.
