Juan Mata revealed in his weekly blog that he was frustrated and angry that Manchester United could only draw versus Newcastle United at the weekend, and says that the team are grateful that on Wednesday to have the game against Club Brugge.

United had loads of chances to get the win versus Newcastle as they has eight shots on target, but Tim Krul saved all of them, and Mata just couldn't hide his anger about the result.

Mata reveals the Newcastle game left a bad taste in his mouth

Mata on the Newcastle game said "the game left us with a bad taste" as Mata feels "we deserved the win but that doesn't count" which is how football goes sometimes but Mata wants the team to bounce back.

Mata continued to say that "the team had spells of our best football so far this season" which is true as the first 20 minutes were excellent on Saturday, but Mata said "we need to win these kind of games if we want to be more consistent than last season".

Mata also revealed in his blog that the whole team are glad of the game versus Brugge on Wednesday to bounce back after a disappointing result against Newcastle.

Mata looking forward to the game on Wednesday against Club Brugge

Mata says United "got a good result against Brugge" and Mata felt the "team showed character to come back, but there still a job to do" which is true as the team must not take the game for granted.

Mata is excited about the prospect of making the Champions League group stages saying the squad "are really looking forward to it" as Mata feels a team like United ned to be playing in the "top competition in Europe."

Time to focus fully on the Brugge game 

Mata is right it's time to put full focus on Wednesday night to make sure the team successfully get into the Champions League, which is the first big goal which United must achieve and move on from there.

After the game on Wednesday it'll then be time to focus on the next Premier League game against Swansea City, to get the points that United require.
