Borussia Dortmund are in advanced talks to bring Manchester United's young attacker Adnan Januzaj on a season-long loan deal.

The transfer window comes to a close in Germany at the end of today and this news comes as a huge surprise with both Januzaj and United denying Januzaj would leave the club.

Januzaj close to signing for Dortmund

However, Sky Sports report that the Bundesliga club are close to getting Januzaj, who scored the only goal in United's 1-0 victory over Aston Villa a couple of weeks ago.

United have been struggling in attacking terms in the Premier League, scoring just three goals in four games and with Januzaj getting one of them, it's a shock to see United willing to let him go.

Dortmund flying high under Tuchel

Dortmund, meanwhile, have secured their place in the UEFA Europa League, beating Odds BK 11-5 on aggregate and new manager Thomas Tuchel has revitalised the club who at one point near Christmas last season sat bottom of the Bundesliga.

Tuchel's side beat Hertha BSC 3-1 on Sunday to continue a great start to the season and the addition of Januzaj, who is desperate to prove himself to many doubters, can only make the depth of the squad better.

Januzaj drawing interest from five clubs

Sky report that as well as Dortmund being interested in the Belgian, Premier League sides Everton and Tottenham Hotspur as well as Marseille and Valencia have been looking at Januzaj, indicating United are telling clubs he's up for grabs.

United fans will be hugely disappointed to see Januzaj leave the club, with just two days of the transfer window left and the Reds having only two strikers. Januzaj has previously played in that role, meaning another possible striker could leave.

The Red Devils lost 2-1 to Swansea on Sunday and need new signings in the striking department, if Januzaj is the only mover, and leaving the club, Louis van Gaal will face a barrage of abue.
