Former-Manchester United player David Beckham says that his old club will not have a title drought like the one that Liverpool have had of 25 years, as they will always bounce back quickly and are on the right track.
Liverpool last won the League in 1990, whereas United last won the title in Sir Alex Ferguson's last season as United manager in 2013. Beckham fully believes that United will not fall victim of the same grim scenario as Liverpool.
Beckham says he can't see United being like Liverpool and not winning the league for 25 years
Beckham says he "can't see that happening to Manchester United" on whether they could go as long as Liverpool without winning a League title. The ex-England captain thinks this because he "never thinks United will not be in contention to win trophies".
Beckham continued to say "there's too much history" with United in terms of winning many things but "you have to stay on the ball with that."
"But there's too much embedded into this club to let it slip away like that" and the hope is the next trophy is not too far away and will come sooner rather than later.
Beckham reruns to Old Trafford in November
Beckham was talking before he is set to feature in a UNICEF Charity match in November at Old Trafford, with Ferguson set to manage Beckham's Great Britain and Ireland team, and he just couldn't stop himself talking about his old club.
United fans would like to see Beckham become a United coach one day
The hope of many fans is one day Beckham will become a coach at United especially when sometime in the future Ryan Giggs takes over as United manager. Most likely, Beckham himself would like to come and a be a part of the setup as well.
Beckham saying all is about United never being like Liverpool will likely make a lot of Liverpool fans angry. However all he is doing is speaking the truth as most people know that in a few years times United will be rebuilt and they will come back very strong and win more titles, but Liverpool will struggle until they get better players.
