Southampton manager Ronald Koeman became annoyed with some of the questions asked during his pre-match press conference; where his Saints side are set to host Liverpool tomorrow afternoon in an intriguing fixture between two in-form sides.
Much of the pre-match comments have been heavily based on Southampton's former players Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana - who will all be returning to St. Mary's following summer moves to Anfield in respective transfer deals.
It was clear to see that Koeman was not happy with the amount of questions asked regarding the former Southampton stars, especially given the media criticism in past months that the Saints were possibly becoming a "feeder" club, selling their best players to other clubs for huge fees.
He asked one reporter the following: "You're the agent of Lovren and Lallana? Why that kind of question all the time? I don't talk about players who are coming back to the club where they played last season, because then I can talk every week about a player who comes back to Southampton. Lallana is a very good player, doing well in Liverpool. He chose to change the club after a good opportunity and nothing else - it is Southampton against Liverpool, not Southampton against some players who played last season for Southampton.
I am thinking of winning the game; I am not negative thinking. I'm surprised they have four points less than we have and to come closer to us they have to win. If they don't win, they don't come closer."
