Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf are today reporting that Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid for Christian Eriksen, believed to be in the region of €10M.

The Danish midfielder has impressed in his time at Ajax, and has been subject to interest from many of Europe's top clubs.

His agent previously stated that Eriksen would only move to a club that would offer guaranteed Champions League football, but Tottenham's ability to attract other top players such as record signing Roberto Soldado and Paulinho without the fabled Champions League football could tip the odds in their favour.

De Telegraaf believe that Ajax and Tottenham have opened negotiations, which is as far as any club from the long line of European clubs have gone into securing the Dane's signature. However the Dutch paper also believe that Tottenham's first bid has been significantly lower than Ajax's asking price.

In the meeting between Marc Overmars, Daniel Levy and Franco Baldini, the fee will be expected to be agreed upon at around the €10M mark. This is due to Eriksen only having ten months left on his contract.
