Tottenham recorded their first win of the campaign in Europe as Harry Kane scored three and conceded one in a match that had everything.

Asteras Tripolis, the Greek minnows who surprisingly topped the group heading into match day three started this game well. They played multiple balls over the top of the Tottenham back four and threatened from the games first set piece, Ben Davies forced to clear a header off the line. It didn't take too long for the hosts to get into their stride, with Harry Kane giving them the lead with a quarter of an hour gone. The England U21 forward picked the ball up thirty-five yards from goal before unleashing a rasping shot in off the far post, a goal not too dissimilar from the one he scored against Besiktas on match day two. What followed was to be a moment no one had saw produced before. Thirty minutes gone and Erik Lamela made it two nil. And what a special goal it was. The ball broke to him twenty yards from goal and he rabona'd it into the top right hand corner. A goal I'm sure that will be spoke of for years to come, and it also prompted praise on Twitter from DeAndre Yedlin and Peter Crouch amongst others.

Jan Vertonghen : "100% best goal I've seen live. I've seen a lot of YouTube clips but I've never seen a goal like it. I was stunned, for two minutes I was thinking about his goal. I think the Puskas award is already his."

The second half started with Spurs keeping possession well and not looking too troubled. This was until fifteen minutes into the second period, when Erik Lamela doubled his tally for the night expertly volleying past the keeper at his near post. Hugo Lloris was called into action moments after this, the Frenchman produced a sublime save from Usero's close range volley. This chance somewhat woke the visitors up, with Rolle hitting the bar from range but this was to be short lived with Harry Kane tapping home after Mousa Dembele could only see his shot saved. Four nil and the game well and truly over. To everyone's pleasure, the excitement definitely wasn't over. Kane completed a night to remember by heading home Federico Fazio's cross to complete his first ever hat trick with ten minutes remaining.

With only several minutes left, Tottenham 'keeper Hugo Lloris was sent off for a last man challenge, and with Spurs having made all three subs, hat trick hero Harry Kane hopped in goal to complete a surreal night for the forward. To his disappointment, and everyone's else's pleasure, the resulting costless kick was spilt by Kane and trickled into the goal. No clean sheet for Spurs and Asteras had a goal. Thankfully, this was the only shot Kane had to deal with and on a memorable night.

From Kane's goals and short cameo in nets to Erik Lamela's moment of magic, this was definitely not your average game. Tottenham five, Asteras Tripolis one.
