Young 21-year-old right-back DeAndre Yedlin has confirmed that he is ready to return to parent club Tottenham Hotspur, to fight for a first-team place in Mauricio Pochettino's side.

He was signed for £3million pounds in the summer transfer window after having an impressive World Cup alongside many team-mates for the USA, and was then immediately loaned back out to MLS side Seattle Sounders, who reluctantly sold one of their star players.

Tottenham have an agreement stating that they can recall the player in January, with rumours running rampant that Yedlin is set to move back to his new side. He had this to say, on adapting to new positions and wanting to play first-team football: "I've been trying to keep up with what's happening, I'm focussing on my season and what I'm doing, but I have been keeping up with them as well - trying to keep in touch. I feel I'm ready wherever I'm put, I'm ready to step in, whether that's coming in and playing and challenging for a spot or coming in and having to work a little bit until I get a chance. I haven't spoken to Mauricio Pochettino but while I'm here I'll look to do that.

He is back in England this week on international duty ahead of USA's clash with Colombia on Friday night, and said this on the subject: "I think it will be the perfect opportunity to show off my ability, people will be watching. I'm looking to have a good performance.
