Tottenham Hotspur will host Crystal Palace in the FA Cup last 16, after the draw was conducted on Sunday evening.

Being completed following Chelsea's 5-1 victory over MK Dons, the fifth round draw included a number of interesting ties, but there's only one that will matter to Mauricio Pochettino's men. They're set to host their fellow Londoners in late February, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.

Tottenham have Palace's number

The draw comes just a week after Spurs saw off Palace in the league, winning 3-1 at Selhurst Park, Dele Alli getting on the scoresheet with a superb individual goal. That win sealed a league double over the Eagles, following a 1-0 win at home near the start of the season.

Taking things seriously in the fourth round, a strong Spurs team eased past Colchester United on Saturday, winning 4-1 away from home in round four. Palace had a more difficult task, but managed a 1-0 victory at home to Stoke City

Can Pochettino deliver his first trophy?

Tottenham would love to make it three in a row when they meet in the cup, as they chase their first trophy under Pochettino. The Argentine very nearly got there in his first season, making the Capital One Cup final, only to be defeated by Chelsea at Wembley. With the Blues facing a tough home game against Manchester City, there's sure to be one big gun exiting the competition, making things much easier for the Lilywhites.

However, one disadvantage is the fixtures surrounding Spurs' fifth round tie, as they face two Europa League games against Fiorentina either side of the match. Wide success in that competition providing a path to the Champions League, it'll be interesting to see how Pochettino prioritises his team selection in a busy period. Comparatively, Alan Pardew's mid-table side have no midweek matches either side of the game, meaning that they'll be bringing their best possible 11 to White Hart Lane.
