Tottenham Hotspur host a struggling West Bromwich Albion side at White Hart Lane on Monday night for a clash that could have huge implications at the top of the Premier League.

Last year the Baggies were able to come out of White Hart Lane with all three points in a 1-0 win - Spurs not having the best home record against the side either.

However, the performances Tottenham have produced in recent weeks, especially it being crunch time as they look to catch up to flying Leicester City with five games left this season, should indicate that they look to set that record straight and close the gap to five points again.

Dele Alli, one to watch

Last night's 'PFA Awards' saw the sensational youngster, Dele Alli, crowned as the Young  Player of the Year. An award that Tottenham are familiar with, with one of the clubs players winning the award three of the last four times prior to the event.

The youngster has taken the league by storm this season, recently turning 20 years of age and scoring two vital goals as Spurs ran riot over Stoke City last Monday. All eyes will be on the Englishman as he will be looked upon to have another big impact in the game tonight.

Both seasons so far

Tottenham have over-achieved in some people's eyes. As a young bunch of players who aim to achieve a Champions League spot this season, now face the biggest five games of their lives as they hunt down that prestigious Premier League title.

Mauricio Pochettino has gathered a bunch of players who look like they want to succeed and are hungry to strive for success. Tonight's game will see Spurs' striker Harry Kane look to add to his total of 24 league goals already, as he looks to help Spurs brush aside West Bromwich Albion and take one step closer.

West Brom however, will look to ruin Spurs' chance of capturing a league title as a win tonight for Tony Pulis' side will surely wrap up the league for Leicester. An interesting situation to look out for tonight will be Saido Berahino.

Back in January Berahino was severely linked to Tottenham and looked to have fallen out with the chairman of West Brom and the club itself. As he faces the side he dreamed of joining, he will look to prove a point to Daniel Levy as to why he should possibly go back for him in the summer.
