Goldsands Stadium hosts West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night with both clubs eyeing up a spot in the last eight of the Captial One Cup, both Eddie Howe and Alan Irvine have big decisions to make in regards to their line-ups.

Team News:

The home side are without influential midfielder Harry Arter as well as Steve Cook. Both picked up a fifth booking in the 8-0 drubbing of Birmingham City at the weekend. On a more positive note Yann Kermorgant could return following his suspension.

West Brom were without Jonas Olsson and Claudio Yacob at the weekend, Olsson has an achilles injury while Yacob is away dealing with family matters, both those featured in the last round against Hull City. Silvestre Varela is expected to play some part in the match following a minor operation, he produced a brief cameo in round 3.

Other than that both sides are well strengthened for the tie and both will have reason to believe they can progress through into the next round of the competition.

Last Time Out:

Last time these two clubs faced each other happened to be in the League Cup, that year a round earlier though, that night saw the baggies run out 4-1 victors over the cherries.

Thoughts:

Both clubs will be happy with the draw when it arose from the velvet bag which highlights the potential for a tough game. Callum Wilson up front for Bournemouth will be looking to make a name for himself after an impressive start to the season while Albion's big money striker Brown Ideye netted in the last round to then come off injured.

Eddie Howe has built quite a squad over time down on the coast and they'll also have an eye on the promotion places after narrowly missing out last season, they're in good form after their 8-0 win over fellow midland's side Birmingham City but you suspect West Brom roll over so easily.

Alan Irvine brought in 13 new players in the summer and has had a mixed bag of results but is certainly getting some pleasing performances out of his team of late and that will give him reason for optimism with whichever side he chooses to travel.

Last Round:

Late heroics were needed in the last round at The Hawthorns but goals from Gareth McAuley and Saido Berahino within a minute of each other saved extra time with just 3 minutes remaining.

Charlie Daniels and a Dan Gosling double saw off Cardiff in the first half in Wales as Eddie Howe named a strong squad that night. Dan Gosling has scored in every round of the cup this season so he'll be looking to extend that run where possible.

WBA came against a changed Hull side last round, and were possibly fortunate to do so, based on previous rounds Eddie Howe won't be so kind to the West Midlands outfit so it's imperative the Premier League side don't take anything for granted against a Bournemouth side brimming with confidence winning 6 out their last 7 matches.
