This season he moved back to Force India and has been strong, finishing 13 of the 16 races so far. A he's signed with Force India for 2015, it's now the first time Hulkenberg has remained at the same team for a second consecutive season.

'It is good to confirm my plans for next season.' Hulkenberg said. He added: 'This is a team I know extremely well and we've enjoyed a great year together.' He went on to talk about his team's strong relationship with engine suppliers Mercedes, who have been the runaway success this season. Team boss Mallya praised his driver and stated how 'delighted' both he and the team are about retaining the 27-year-old.

Hulkenbeeg sits eighth in the World Championship and is helping take the fight to McLaren for fifth place in the Constructors Championship. He's one of the many drivers touted for a Ferrari drive in 2016, when Kimi Raikkonen's contract expires, with the Finn rumoured to be retiring at the expiry of his contract.
