Scotland central defender Grant Hanley has pulled out of the squad that will face Poland in Warsaw on Tuesday night.

Despite starting and finishing the 1-0 victory at Ibrox against Georgia, the twenty-two year old has came out of the game with a knee injury.

Strachan now has Gordon Greer, Mark Reynolds or Christophe Berra to pick from to stand in for Hanley against one of the world's best strikers, Robert Lewandowski.

Uncapped Reynolds was drafted in for the Germany game in place of Berra who at the time was nursing an injury and has only just returned. Berra is the most experienced of the trio cap-wise, but it's almost impossible to guess will get the nod from Strachan.

The sides last met in a friendly affair in March where a Scott Brown wonder goal separated the two teams on the night.
