Stade de Reims have parted company with 46-year old manager, Jean-Luc Vasseur after a run of poor form.

The Stade Auguste-Delaune II outfit have won just three of their last fifteen competitive fixtures as well as registering eight losses.

Reims host Nice this weekend and come off the back of three straight 3-1 defeats to Lille, Monaco and Montpellier respectively.

Vasseur was appointed at the start of the season taking over from Hubert Fournier who departed for Lyon after guiding Reims to an eleventh placed finish in the 2013/14 season.

Just three points separate Reims from the relegation zone with seven still to play. Within those seven Reims face both Lyon and PSG whom they managed a creditable 2-2 draw with on the season opener. As previously mentioned Nice as well as Bastia, Guingamp, Evian and Rennes make up the remainder of the seven.

Olivier Guégan is the favourite to be appointed interim until the end of the season.
