BVB's rocky road continues after the 2013 Champions League finalists were comfortably beaten 3-0 away to Bundesliga strugglers Hamburg; another big setback in Jurgen Klopp's campaign. The reult is Dortmund's 6th defeat of the season, leaving them a possible 20 points behind Bayern Munich and also 4 behind Sami Hyypia's Leverkusen in 2nd, should they win away at Wolfsburg.

Mirko Slomka couldn't have asked for a better start to his reign in the Hamburg hotseat and the result at the Imtech Arena may be a sign of things to come and an indication of things changing for the better.

They took the lead on 42 minutes; Pierre-Michel Lassoga crossing to the back post for Petr Jiracek to head home into the top corner, past Roman Weidenfeller in the Dortmund goal.

They tried to respond in the second half as Klopp sent on Marco Reus, but he along with an ineffective Robert Lewandowski and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang could do nothing to salvage a result as Hamburg helped themselves to more.

Hakan Calhanoglu slipped through a delightful ball to put Lassoga one on one with Weidenfeller, who finished comfortably with half an hour remaining.

And the Turkish international Calhanoglu sent the home crowd into ecstasy as he embarrassed the German 'keeper by hitting a costless kick quickly and exquisitely into the top corner as the ball moved considerably. Quite unstoppable, yet quite remarkable.

Hamburg now sit 16th, lifting a place above Freiburg.
