Hannover 96 have completed the signing of the Japanese midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake from 1. FC Nurnburg on a four-year deal.

The 24 year old midfielder was one of the best players in the side last season, though his heroics were not enough to stop the side being relegated to the 2. Bundesliga.

He has managed an impressive seven goals and 19 assists from his 64 matches in the top flight, and was linked with a move to the English Premier League last season, though nothing materialised.

After the loss of influencial midfielders Huszti and Ya Konan, fans of Die Roten will be over the moon at the coup of Kiyotake, and manager Tayfun Korkut shared their excitement, stating on the official site that “Hiroshi Kiyotake can be deployed anywhere in attack, is a good team player and takes great set-pieces”

The playmaker was an integral member of the Japanese national team at this summers World Cup, and has already amassed 25 caps at the tender age of 24. He will also link up with his national team mate Hiroki Sakai at the club next season.

Korkut has already dipped into the transfer market this week, securing the services of another midfielder, Ceyhun Gulselam yesterday.

The 26 year old has penned a two-year deal that will see him leave Turkish giants Galatasaray, and bring with him Champions League experience to the AWD Arena next year.

Martin Kind has also suggested that there may well be more additions to the side before the team embark on their training camp to Bad Radkersburg on Sunday.
