It's tempting with the Bundesliga campaign to write it off before it has really got started, such is Bayern Munich's dominance. With Borussia Dortmund - the usual challengers for Pep Guardiola's side - already languishing tweleve points behind down in 12th place, it seems already somewhat inevitable that the Bavarians will waltz to the title. Picking up form in recent weeks despite injury concerns, it seems Die Bayern are already setting out to do just that.

'This has concerned us, we need to close out the game.'

- Philipp Lahm

Guardiola's side go into the game after a 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night, in Group E of the UEFA Champions League. Bayern did enough in tricky conditions behind closed doors - and with six points from two games sit atop Group E in prime position - but captain Phillip Lahm has spoken to the press about the need to be more ruthless with their chances:  "We have to look to finish more often," he told Bild. "Even though we had many good options available [against CSKA] we had to wait until the end. This has concerned us now for a couple of weeks, that we do not close the game early." Rest assured that Guardiola will be looking to his wealth of attacking talent to make sure they're convincing against Hannover come Saturday.

After a good start to the Bundesliga campaign, Hannover 96 seem to have fallen off the pace a little, losing two of their last three games. They still sit in a respectable sixth place in the table, just four points off their hosts and league leaders, however will struggle if they cannot create against Guardiola's side. Hannover coach Tayfun Korkut knows that taking their chances is key: "We have to capitalise on the few chances we manage to carve out in what's going to be an incredibly difficult game," the Turk said. With Bayern having won 26 of their last 28, Korkut knows the difficulty of the task his side face.

Despite being clear favourites, Guardiola will once more have to rotate his squad a little to accomodate Bayern's injury concerns. Franck Ribery, Thiago Alcantara, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez are all out of action, but the Bavarians will have Jerome Boateng back in defence after he did not play in the midweek Champions League tie with CSKA Moscow. Guardiola will also have Xherdan Squaqiri and Sebastian Rode available for seleciton.

For Hannover, Leon Andreasen is confirmed out and is set to be replaced by 21-year-old Maurice Hirsch, or Christian Pander. The injured Dane joins Andre Hoffmann, Edgar Prib and captain Lars Stindl on Hannover's injury list.
