Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus has picked up a knock to his ankle and will be out for a fortnight.

Reus, who had recently returned from another ankle injury, is set for a further spell on the sidelines. The ankle problem was confirmed following a scan at Dortmund’s Knappschaft Hospital on Monday; Reus is expected to be back in action in two weeks, according to BVB club doctor Markus Braun.

The midfielder will continue his recovery in Dortmund and has pulled out of Germany’s squad for their upcoming games. A qualifier against Gibraltar, 14th November, and a friendly against Spain, 18th November, are the matches he'll miss for die Nationalmannschaft.

Speculation has been rife about the highly sought after Westphalian's future, although he has been keen to keep his mouth closed in relation to a possible move. Unfortunately for Dortmund, he could miss their game against Paderborn in two weeks time.
