Borussia Dortmund's newest signing, Kevin Kampl, spoke to the media on Sunday about his arrival at his boyhood club.

"A very pleasant guy!" Said the Slovenian international, about room-mate Erik Durm, who was grateful for a warm welcome, "The team has taken me in extremely well, which of course makes it easier. I'm 24 now and I'm ready for the next step."

Kampl signed for a reported €12m and he's extremely happy to be part of a team he grew up with, "A childhood dream come true. As a kid I was a big fan of BVB, I want to give my all and hope to be able to help the team quickly."

The Salzburg style of play will have prepared him well for what is to come in Dortmund, something which he admitted to the gathered press. "The BVB game suits me, I'm in good hands. I can play any position in midfield."

The latter part of that sentence will be music to the fans' ears, especially with the injury crisis that seems to engulf the Borussia Dortmund team the whole year round. Naturally, this has affected the performance of the team and Kampl is well aware of the situation, "The tension is normal. Everyone knows what it is about. We need super preparation to flip the switch."
