SC Freiburg's reserve goalkeeper Daniel Batz is unsure whether he'll still be at the club after the summer, he told German football magazine kicker.

"My contract expires in the summer," says Batz, who managed just three games for Freiburg's second side.

"What do I from July, I do not know, but there is still a bit of time," he continued.

Batz arrived from FC Nürnberg in 2011, but has managed just one Bundesliga game so far.

He was second choice behind Oliver Baumann for much of that time, but the signings of Roman Bürki and Sebastian Mielitz have pushed him further down the pecking order.

Batz has been held back by a recent back problem, "I was supposed to get my match fitness in the Regionalliga," he said. "But a persistent back injury meant that in the first half of the year there were only three appearances."

The 24-year-old finished off by saying, "Freiburg is my first port of call. I will talk to the club, we will look each other honestly in the eye and how things will go from there."
