1860 Munich’s Austrian forward Rubin Okotie has spoken to Bild about his desire to play in Germany’s top flight during his career.

The 2.Bundesliga’s top goalscorer, 13 goals, has a contract with the Lions until 2016. His agent Reinhard Tichy and 1860 sporting director Gerhard Poschner met in Marbella, on Sunday, with the latter desperate to extend the Austrian’s deal.

Okotie spoke to Germany’s largest tabloid, in regards to his current situation: "I feel very comfortable here at 1860, but nowadays you can’t promise anything in football. I want to play in the Bundesliga."

"I like pressure situations,” he continued. “I want to get the best of myself and try to score more goals than in the Hinrunde. I like ambitious targets."

While speaking to the paper he also commented on fellow national team player Aleksandar Dragović, whom he played in a friendly today. Manchester United are rumoured to be close to securing a deal for the promising centre-back.

Okotie was raving about the 23-year-old, who is believed to cost over €10million: "We’ve known each other since we were kids, for me he is one of Europe's best central defenders."
