Deyverson Brum Silva Acosta has completed his move to 1.FC Köln from CF Belenenses of the Portuguese Primeira Liga until the end of the season.

The move comes after Simon Zoller left the club to re-join his former side, 1.FC Kaiserslautern in the 2.Bundesliga in a bid to regain his form.

Better known as Deyverson, the 24-year old Brazilian will add much needed firepower to the front line of Köln, who currently sit 10th in the Bundesliga.

“Deyverson is a young player, who has acclimated himself very well to Portugal and has made a name for himself as a dangerous goal scorer,” Sporting Director, Jörg Jakobs told the clubs website.

“Following the developments in recent days, our scouting team has done an excellent job to fill the void in attack with a player that gives us further options.”

Deyverson left Brazil in 2012 and joined Portuguese side Belenenses the following year from SL Benfica’s B Team. In the current season, Deyverson has netted eight goals in 16 occasions which caught the eye of Köln.

The forward will wear the number 20 shirt for Köln and will be in the squad to face VfB Stuttgart on Wednesday night.
