Two relegation threatened sides meet at the Olimpiastadion in the capital on Sunday evening as 15th place Hertha BSC play hosts to 17th place SC Freiburg.

The hosts got a much needed victory last weekend as they defeated Mainz away from home by a score of 0-2, with both goals coming in the first half, scored by Hegeler (from the spot) and Beerens. This will be a huge momentum booster coming back home as they take on another club who has been struggling to find any kind of form this campaign as they look destined to go down. But this doesn't mean that they can relax for a second, because interim manager Pal Dardai will know that every single point is vital at this stage of the season, and three of them tomorrow could go a long way.

Freiburg started out the second half of the season with a very impressive 4-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, but have lost their last two matches in league play. They did come across some tough opposition in Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund, but they failed to find the back of the net while allowing four goals. The loss against Monchengladbach really stung as they controlled possession, and got more shots on target than their counterparts, but the hosts in that match finished their chance, something Freiburg wasn't able to do.

Both sides are missing a slew of footballers for this huge clash. Hertha are without Burchert, Gersbeck, Lustenberger, J. van den Bergh, Baumjohann, Ben-Hatira, Cigerci; however, they do get Kalou back from the Africa Cup of Nations which will be a big boost for them coming off of the bench, providing them with another attacking option. For Freiburg, nine different footballers will be missing this clash leaving coach Christian Streich with a bit of a selection headahce as Batz, Jullien, Kempf, Mitrovic, Perger, Höfler, Stanko, Mehmedi, Petersen all miss through various injuries.

Expect this match to be wide open, with lots of chances, just few goals. These two sides know what is at stake, and will hope to remain compact at the back so they don't have to try and climb themselves out of any hole.
