The Schwarzwald-Stadion is set to host this latest DFB Pokal match between Freiburg and Köln, both of whom have been struggling in the league.

Christian Streich's side go in to the game after losing 1-0 away to Leverksuen at the weekend. The Breisgau-Brasilianer have succesfully got in to the round of 16 after previously beating Eintracht Trier and 1860 Munich, both away from home, scoring seven in the process and conceding just two. Streich, after the 1860 game, said it was his side's, "most complete game of the year."

Köln have been in poor league form the past few weeks and come in to Tuesday night's game following heavy 4-1 defeat inflicted by Bayern Munich. Similar to their upcoming hosts, Die Geißböcke have had to play their last two cup games in unfamliar territory; away to 2. Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig and 3.Liga team MSV Duisburg, the latter a victory on penalties.

The previous league meeting between these two sides saw Freiburg come out on top at the RheinEnergieStadion. A 50th minute penalty by Vladimir Darida was enough to secure all three points in the league, fans of the home side will be hoping for a similar score to maintain their chances of silverware. Köln coach Peter Stöger has said his team won't let off and will give it their all to ensure they have a place in the next round. Freiburg will have to do without Maximillian Philipp, who is doubtful after sustaining a nasal bone fracture in Leverkusen on saturday.
