Hennes may be happy that he won't be part of Ujah's goal celebrations any more, but his absence will be hard-felt by the club.

1. FC Köln announced on Tuesday morning that Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah would depart the club in the summer and move to fellow Bundesliga club SV Werder Bremen.

The northerners are rumoured to have been two other Bundesliga sides to his signature. It's no surprise that Ujah was in high demand, having scored 10 goals this season for the Billy Goats.

Ujah, 24, joined Köln back in 2012 from 1. FSV Mainz 05 on loan, before making that move permanent in 2013/14. The forward has scored on a regular basis in both of Germany's top two divisions, netting over thirty times in just under 100 games.

The details of the transfer have not been announced, though it's expected that Ujah will sign a deal through to 2019 at his new club. The departure of Ujah does, however, leave Köln lacking in attacking areas.

Bard Finne is expected to join 1. FC Union Berlin on loan next year, Patrick Helmes has been injured all season, Köln have opted not to use their clause to purchase Deyverson and Thomas Bröker will not have his contract renewed.

That means that Philipp Hosnier, once again, has been linked with Peter Stöger's men. The 25-year-old, who has worked under Stöger before, was set to join in January but for his medical to fall through.
