Paderborn, who are looking to beat the drop, face a Wolfsburg side keen on securing second spot in the league. Both teams have very different goals but are fully aware of the importance three points can bring.

Paderborn come off the back of a massive confidence boosting win away to Freiburg last week, despite trailing at the break a late Lukas Rupp double secured an impressive comeback against their fellow relegation candidates. The fortunes of Andre Breitenreiter's side have changed massively since the turn of the year. The league's smallest side have struggled to find the net and have only recorded two wins in 2015.

Wolfsburg have dropped off in recent weeks and a disappointing 2-2 draw against Hannover last week has seen them been chased down by Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen for second spot. Kevin De Bruyne has been linked with moves away from the Volkswagen Arena but officials at the club have continually dismissed reports.

The previous meeting between the sides in early December brought a 1-1 draw. An early Rafa own goal gave Wolfsburg the advantage but a penalty just five minutes into the second half gave Paderborn a massive point to take away from Lower Saxony. Dieter Hecking has been quick to assure his team are focused and says the trip to Padeborn "may cause us problems" and that their struggling opponents will make life hard for them.
