Freiburg welcome Bayern Munich to town for the penultimate Bundesliga matchday and with both sides in desperate need of a win its certain to through up an exhilarating encounter.

Freiburg with the ever increasingly likely threat of relegation to the 2.liga looming the pressure on Christian Streich's side had been lifted after they led fellow relegation rivals Hamburg last Friday until a ninetieth minute equaliser from Gojkco Kacar sealed a  crushing blow for the struggling southern side.

Bayern's form of late has been below the standards set by Pep Guardiola and his team. With a run of losses stretching to five games courtesy of a champions league semi final knockout from Barcelona the pressure has been building on the Catalonian, all important figures at Bayern have denied he is leaving in the upcoming summer and are adamant they will change their fortunes sooner rather than later.

The only previous meeting this season between the two southern sides brought an unconvincing 2-0 for Bayern with goals coming in each half from Arjen Robben and Thomas Müller.

Pep Guardiola has stated "We must regain focus after our bad run" which shows his side will not slack off further against their opponents who will be giving their all to beat the drop.

His opponent for the day Christian Streich was visibly distraught after a crushing blow last week but the German native was keen to ensure his players regrouped and pounced on Bayern's bad run.
