Borussia Dortmund centre back Neven Subotic has put pen to paper on a new three year deal at the Westfalenstadion keeping him their until 2018, according to various sources.

The two time Bundesliga winner with Dortmund has been at the club since 2008 following a move from Mainz after a stellar 2007/08 season. The defenders deal was due to expire next summer and he has been a stalwart since arriving playing just under 200 times.

Arsenal were just one of many European clubs believed to be poaching him upon contract expiry but it is unlikely they will continue in their advances with the new deal in place.

Last term Subotic made twenty-eight Bundesliga appearances and scored twice as Dortmund went through one of their worst seasons in recent years having to settle for 7th after a very wobbly start. Subotic and co. do however have a DFB Pokal cup final date with VfL Wolfsburg in coming weeks.

Long serving  goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller future is also up in arms with his contract set to expire at the end of next season, some sources say he won't be offered anything and move on.
