Stefan Kutschke will join Nürnberg after two years in the Bundesliga with VfL Wolfsburg and SC Paderborn 07, where he scored only twice in 27 games.

Last season he was loan out at Paderborn and made 19 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal.

He did not manage to stay up with his team and they were relegated to the 2. Bundesliga.

Paderborn had an option to buy, but the team from Nordrhein-Westfalen didn't take it and Kutschke went back to Wolfsburg.

However die Wölfe did not want the striker, and they sold him to the Frankenstadion side. Information about a transfer fee is not yet known.

Wolf and Kutschke talk about the transfer

The sporting director of der Club, Wolfgang Wolf, gave his thoughts about the new attacker:

"After the departure of Peniel Mlapa, we searched for a striker with different skills to our other forwards."

Wolf believes 'that Kutschke has these skills' and 'he's another option for the attack'.

He has hopes 'his kind of football, his physical presence and his mentality' will help the team.

After signing, Kutschke said a few things about his new club and why he signed there.

Timm Klose, the Swiss centre-back in Lower Saxony, told him 'only good things about Nürnberg' during his time at Wolfsburg.

He also added: "The club wanted to sign me and I could identify with the club's goals, after I spoke with the coach and the people in power."

Kutschke said it is 'something special' to play for a club 'with a lot of tradition'.

He concluded by saying he will give 'his best' and that he hopes to 'stay here for a long time'.
