25-year-old Denis Mangafic grew up in the Eintracht Frankfurt youth academy, and has already played in the Netherlands for Heracles Almelo and for SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the 3. Liga. He joins from Kickers Offenbach, who failed to get promoted to the third tier, despite winning the Regionalliga Südwest.

The midfielder made a total of 29 appearances last season, but only managed to score a solitary goal.

Oral, Krüger have their say on the Mangafic

"Denis can play both offensively and defensively on the right wing and will perform well after a great season with Kickers Offenbach," head coach Tomas Oral said to his new prodigy, who was also born in Frankfurt.

Sporting director Clemens Krüger stated that, "Denis was a great performer for the last two seasons with the Kickers." He continued, "I am convinced that he has the necessary potential to prevail in the 2. Bundesliga.''

His new club FSV Frankfurt finished 13th in second division as FC Ingolstadt 04 and SV Darmstadt 98 were promoted. Erzgebirge Aue and VfR Aalen couldn't beat the drop and were relegated to 3. Liga. Tomas Oral joined the club at the end of the season after Benno Möhlmann was sacked, guiding them to safety with a 3-2 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf on the final day.

SC Freiburg and SC Paderborn 07 will join FSV Frankfurt after being relegated from the Bundesliga, along with DSC Arminia Bielefeld and MSV Duisburg - who were promoted from the third division.

Can he make the leap up the divisions?

The player will almost certainly play an important role for a team, providing service to their leading goalscorer, Edmond Kapllani, who netted 11 goals in 15 appearances last term. He does have big boots to fill, however. Vincenzo Grifo has left for Freiburg, and his goals and assists will be incredibly hard to replace. Whether Mangafic can fill the void, remains to be seen.
