1. FC Heidenheim have secured the services of former Fortuna Düsseldorf winger Ben Halloran.

The 23-year-old attacker, who can play out wide and through the middle, has signed a three-year deal with his new club.

Both sides agreed to stay silent on the transfer fee. His value, according to transfermarkt, is around the €1million mark - meaning a big money deal for Heidenheim.

Halloran managed two goals and four assists for Fortuna last term, after joining the Westphalians back in 2013 from Brisbane Roar.

He has made six appearances for the Australian national side and was unfortunate to miss out on their World Cup campaign last year.

Holger Sanwald, FCH CEO, cited his 'versatility' and the fact he gives Heidenheim 'more options in attack' as two motives behind his signing.

"We are delighted that this transfer has been concluded," added Sanwald. "With Ben Halloran we have signed another attacking player that we were looking at."

One of many early transfers for both sides

Fortuna and Heidenheim have already been extremely busy thus far, with plenty of arrivals and departures.

Dominik Widemann, Kevin Müller, Daniel FrahnNorman Theuerkauf, Sebastian Heidinger and Arne Feick have already joined Frank Schmidt's side.

That number has been matched by those who have left, with Florian Niederlechner, Philip Heise, Patrick Mayer, Dennis Malura, Manuel Janzer, Rouven Sattelmeier, Philipp Reise and Michael Vitzthum departing the club.

It's a similar story at Fortuna, who have also wheeled and dealed their way to a new squad with Frank Kramer now at the helm.

Sercan Sararer and Karim Haggui both arrived from VfB Stuttgart, along side Julian Koch, Fabian Holthaus and Christian Strohdiek.

Charliston Benschop has left, however. Their top-scorer has joined Heinrich Schmidtgal, Giannis Gianniotas, Andreas Lambertz, Erwin Hoffer, Timm Golley and Dustin Bomheuer in leaving the club.
