Joachim Löw has announced the German Nationalmannschaft squad for the EURO 2016 qualifying games against Ireland on October 8th and Georgia on October 11th.

The only change to the last team is that Bayer Leverkusen's goalkeeper, Bernd Leno, will get his chance as he replaces Ron-Robert Zieler. He was the number three behind Manuel Neuer, playing for Bayern München, and either Roman Weidenfeller from Borussia Dortmund or Marc-André ter Stegen, who now plays for FC Barcelona, for a long time.

It is Leno's first nomination for Löw's squad. He has played 14 games for the U-21 national team and a further 14 in total for other national youth teams.

Löw decided not to nominate Sami Khedira, who plays for Juventus, and Benedikt Höwedes from FC Schalke 04, as they do not seem to be ready for international football after their long injuries. Julian Draxler, who recently moved from Schalke to Bundesliga rivals VfL Wolfsburg, is not in the squad either.

Reus returns

Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus can finally make his combeack after more than six months out of the team. He missed the World Cup in Brazil due to an injury he got a few weeks before the start of the tournament and could not participate in the last two qualification games due to a short-term problem.

The Germany squad in full to face the Republic of Ireland (8th October) and Georgia (11th October):
