That's all from me, Alex Howell, thanks for tuning in for Vavel UK's Live coverage of Bayern Munich 5-1 Borussia Dortmund. Stay tuned for our impending match report.

It's the worst possible result for Thomas Tuchel's die Schwarzgelben, after a promising start to the season they are well and truly brought back down to earth with a thud. They face Tuchel's old club Mainz next time out.

The result see's Bayern Munich move seven points clear, as the Bundesliga title race is seemingly only going one way at this early stage. die Roten take on Werder Bremen after the international break.

90' - The Dortmund demolition job is brought to an end as Marco Fritz blows for fulltime.

89' - Arturo Vidal waste's a good opportunity, after Kingsley Coman pulls back for the Chilean.

81' - Robert Lewandowski is now the first player to score nine domestic goals in three games. (5 - Wolfsburg, 2 - Mainz and 2 - Dortmund).

79' - Manuel Neuer deals with the eventual freekick from Adnan Januzaj

79' - Boateng booked for hauling down Aubameyang, similar to the Alaba one early in the first half.

78' - More even again, as Dortmund get to grips with the Bayern attacking line once more.

71' - Good save Neuer! Mkhitaryan beats Philip Lahm before unleashing a rasping effort towards Neuer, which the former Schalke 04 man deals with.

68' - More poor defending from die Schwarzgelben for the goal. They've effectively defeated themselves here.

66' - Thiago wants it more than Piszczek and the rebound from said tackle lands at the feet of Mario Götze and the Bayern man finally gets his goal.

66' - Goal Bayern Munich!! Mario Götze against his former club.

64' - Close! Mkhitaryan's volleyed effort goes just past Manuel Neuer's post; although the Armenian will have been hoping for better contact.

60' - Thomas Tuchel's side have got to be careful here, or this could get embarassing.

58' - Mario Götze goes charging down the right hand flank and whips in an inch perfect ball right onto the left foot of Robert Lewandowski, who beats Bürki with ease. The former Dortmund duo combining to heap on the misery on die Schwarzgelben.

58' - Goal Bayern Munich!! This is getting out of hand.

55' - Unbelievable miss by Mario Götze! Bürki found wanting again but the former Dortmund man can't take advantage of the empty net!

52' - Double substitution for die Schwarzgelben. Shinji Kagawa and Gonzalo Castro withdrawn for Adnan Januzaj and Marco Reus.

51' - That is now Lewandowski's 11th goal in 4 matches.

46' - Boateng once again finds Lewandowski behind the Dortmund back line. Bürki comes rushing out and completely misses the ball allowing the Pole a free run on an empty net.

46' - Goal Bayern Munich!! What a start! Only 22 seconds in!

46' - We're back underway in Bavaria!

45' - Marco Fritz blows for half-time.

44' - The game has somewhat calmed down since the madness of those two quick-fire goals as we approach halftime.

38' - Aubemayang has now levelled Klaus Allof's record of scoring in ten consecutive Bundesliga games.

37' - Mkhitaryan, at fault for the penalty, finds Gonzalo Castro who whips in a beauty of ball and Pierre Emerick Aubemayang makes no mistakes!

37' - Goal Dortmund!! They're back in it!

34' - Mkhitaryan takes down Thiago after a ball from Robert Lewandowsi. Minimal contact by the Armenian it must be said.

34' - Thomas Müller converts! 2-0 Bayern!

34' - Penalty to Bayern Münich!!

33' - Tetchy stuff from Bürki as his scuffed clearance lands straight at the feet of Thomas Müller; but the goalscorer can't make the most of the Swiss' error.

31' - die Roten really in their pomp now. Important for die Schwarzgelben that they don't conceed a second.

26' - Typical Thomas Müller really. Anonymous for 25 minutes but he's popped up when it mattered. A sublime run from wide right.

26' - Route one stuff from Pep Guardiola's side. Jerome Boateng lofts a ball for the on-rushing Thomas Müller, who nicks the ball past Bürki before slotting into the empty net.

26' - Goal for Bayern!!!

24' - Chance for Bayern! Costa's near post effort beaten away by Bürki after the Brazilian had gone past Sokratis.

23' - Sven Bender and Sokratis have been superb so far. Both in unorthodox positions, yet the pair are depriving Robert Lewandowski and Douglas Costa of service.

18' - First chance for die Roten, as Douglas Costa whips in a free-kick from wide right. Bürki opts to punch, rather than catch.

15' - Close! Henrikh Mkhitaryan takes advantage of a Bayern error but his cut-back is superbly cut out by Thiago.

11' - die Schwarzgelben have definitely enjoyed the better start. Thomas Tuchel's side have slotted straight into rythm in a mix of stern defending and lightning counter attacking play.

8' - Bayern enjoying large swathes of the ball, although they are yet to trouble Roman Bürki as of yet.

6' - Looks like Sokratis is playing at right full back, whilst Lukasz Piszczek is at the opposite full back.

3' - Controversial as David Alaba is booked for pulling down Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, where he was seemingly the last man.

0' - We're underway in the first der Klassiker of the season!

Just going through the pre game formalities before we get underway!

The players are in the tunnel as "Forever number one" rings out in the Arena.

Only ten minutes away from kick-off! The atmosphere is building at the Allianz Arena as the various fans take to their seats.

The big headline for die Roten has to be that Arturo Vidal is only on the bench. Pep Guardiola has opted for Thiago instead of the Chilean whilst Mario Götze gets another run out, after an encouraging performace against Dinamo Zagreb.

We're hearing that Schmelzer picked up a last minute hamstring injury, that's the reason for his omission.

Looks like Sokratis is filling in for Marcel Schmelzer at left-back. Sven Bender replaces the Greek in the heart of defence. Big call by Thomas Tuchel with Ginter on the bench.

So, no Marco Reus for die Schwarzgelben. The former Borussia Möchengladbach man has to settle for a place amongst the substitutes alongside Matthias Ginter who has filled in at right fullback in the absence of Lukas Piszczek, who returns this afternoon.

We have the starting elevens! Bayern Munich: Neuer - Lahm (C), Boateng, Martinez, Alaba - Alonso - Costa, Götze, Thiago - Müller, Lewandowski. Borussia Dortmund: Bürki - Piszczek, Hummels, Bender, Sokratis - Weigl, Gündogan - Mkhitaryan, Castro, Kagawa - Aubameyang

Todays referee is Marco Fritz, who was fourth official in a 5-1 victory for Bayern Munich against Borussia Dortmund back in 2009.

Julian Weigl will be back on somewhat familiar turf; the Bavarian native spent five years with Bayern's rivals 1860 Munich before making the move to the Westfalenstadion over the summer.

Erik Durm and Nuri Sahin are the only absentee's for Tuchel, as the pair are yet to overcome their respected injuries.

Predicted lineups: Bayern Munich: Neuer - Lahm, Boateng, Martinez, Alaba - Vidal, Thiago, Alonso - Costa, Lewandowski, Müller. Borussia Dortmund: Bürki - Ginter, Hummels, Sokratis, Schmelzer - Weigl - Mkhitaryan, Gündogan, Kagawa, Reus - Aubameyang.

Tuchel rested a whole host of key players for the game in Northern Greece on Thursday and so Dortmund are expected to welcome back Mats Hummels, Marco Reus and Ilkay Gündogan into the starting eleven.

die Schwarzgelben will be looking for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to continue his goal scoring streak in todays match; the Gabonese is the first Bundesliga player to notch on each of the first seven matchdays and will prove crucial if Borussia Dortmund are to get a result this afternoon.

However his current side haven't endured too much success against the Bavarian's in recent encounters; winning one of the last six against Bayern Munich. (D2 L3)

Tuchel had a mixed record against die Roten in his time at the Coface Arena, with a memorable 2-1 victory at the Allianz Arena the pinacle.

Today is Thomas Tuchel's first der Klassiker after the former Mainz manager took over from Jürgen Klopp in the summer.

As for the away side they come into the game after a hard fought 1-1 draw in Thessaloniki against POAK in the Europa League, Gonzalo Castro getting die Schwarzgelben's goal.

It's the heart of Oktberfest in Munich at the moment and that will come as good news for the hosts, as they haven't lost any of their last 17 games during the festival. The last coming five years ago when they incidentally were beaten 2-0 at the hands of todays opponents at the Westfalenstadion

The Spaniard, however, will still be without key players Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery for the game against Thomas Tuchel's Schwarzgelben - as the pair remained sidelined with ankle and abductor injuries respectively. Medhi Benatia and Sebastian Rode the other absentees for die Roten.

There's no doubt that the former Borussia Dortmund striker, Lewandowski,  is the key player for die Roten in this afternoons game. having scored an amazing ten goals in his last three outings; including a record breaking five in little under a nine minute spell against VfL Wolfsburg.

die Roten also downed Dinamo Zagreb during Champions League action this week. Once again the Pole, Lewandowksi was archetypal scoring three in what was an emphatic 5-0 win and just what Pep Guardiola's side will have wanted before todays match.

Guardiola was full of praise for the young French player in his prematch press-conference stating "With him [Coman], Douglas Costa and Mario Götze we have more width in our game and therefore more space in the centre."

A Robert Lewandowski inspired Bayern Munich defeated 1. FSV Mainz 05 3-0 last weekend in Bundesliga action; Kingsley Coman also got on the scoresheet at the Coface Arena.

Both sides are undefeated in domestic action as of yet, but Pep Guardiola's side hold a four point advantage at the top of the table as Borussia Dortmund have drew with 1899 Hoffenheim and more recently SV Darmstadt 98

Todays game gets underway at 16:30 BST, but up until then we'll provide you with a whole host of pre-match build up, commentary and analysis. The match will be played in the heart of the Bavarian capital, Munich at the Allianz Arena.
