The sixth of November will always be a special day for 19-year-old Leroy Sané.

On this day, Joachim Löw decided to nominate the tremendously gifted striker who plays for FC Schalke 04 to the first-team squad for the friendly fixtures against European Cup 2016 hosts France and the Netherlands - who failed to qualify for the tournament - on the 13th and 17th of november.

Sané told DFB.de that he is really looking forward to "run out with the best players of my country." He furthermore said that he is looking to "make a good impression and gather experience." But only sitting on the bench is not enough for the ambitious youngster: "I would also be very pleased to get a few minutes game time."

The youngster has been a standout performer this season for Schalke 04

For the derby against Borussia Dortmund, Sané told reporters that it was an extra boost for him, even though he was already quite motivated as it was his first derby. The youngster showed a good performance and assisted the temporary equaliser by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to make it 1-1.

Sané played for Germany U19s from 2014 to 2015, scoring four times in 11 games. For the U21 squad, he was even stronger, scoring three goals in three games for Germany.

His nomination for the first team is a logical step in his career after convincing performances for the first team of Schalke 04. In many games when the whole team did not seem to find its rhythm, it was often Sané who made all the difference.

The first game against France can be a special game for the 19-year-old, in the case he gets some minutes to play: his father, even though he played for Senegal, grew up in France. Therefore, Sané speaks French pretty well and has an emotional connection to the country and its population.

Nevertheless, he is playing for Germany and he is certainly a promising talent for the next years.
