Reports from il Corriere dello Sport indicate that Lyon captain Maxime Gonalons could be about to join Napoli.

This follows comments made by the French International on Lyon’s official website.  Although the player confirmed he was focusing on his commitments to the club he did admit that some rumours were true and “that in football, anything can happen very quickly.”  The 24 year old has been linked with many clubs in recent weeks, but the Italian paper suggests Lyon would find it difficult to reject an offer in this period of financial crisis.  The paper speculated that a €12 million offer would be enough to secure a deal.

Meanwhile Napoli are also considering whether to launch another bid in order to sign Marseille defender N’Koulou, having failed to reach an agreement with earlier negotiations.  Going the other way however could be El Kaddouri and Donadel.  Both players appear to be surplus to requirements and Livorno’s Sporting Director confirmed his club’s interest in the duo in an interview with Radio Crc.
