According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid are lining up a £19 million bid for Juventus centre back, Giorgio Chiellini.

It has been reported that Carlo Ancelotti has asked for Chiellini, who can play in either the centre back of left back positions, as a replacement for Fabio Coentrao if he leaves Madrid. The Portuguese international has previously told O Jogo: "It seems as if everybody wants me to leave the club. I don't know what I have done wrong. We will have to find a solution that's good for the club and for myself. We must both be satisfied."

Chiellini is seen as an integral part of La Vecchia Signora's future plans, and is considered to be one of the untouchable players at the club, alongside Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal. It is highly likely that if a bid was officially made by Madrid, it would be deemed unacceptable by the Juve board.

The 29 year old Azzurri international would reportedly earn £4.5 million per season, if he were to sign for Real Madrid, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
