Despite picking up a late point through a wonderful strike from Renan at the San Siro, new Sampdoria manager, Sinisa Mihajlovic, has vented his frustration at not being able to pick up all three this evening. Mihajlovic has cited a lack of self-confidence as the reason his side could not capitalise on Inter's poor performance:

"I am not happy, as I believe that we deserved all three points. Like the Lazio game, we played very well and pressed the opposing team high up the park."

"If we believed in our ability a bit more, we would've won."

"The team need to believe in themselves. We are a very good team with a lot of quality in attacking areas. If we can instill self-belief in these players, then we can go far."

The former Serbia coach, Mihajlovic, in his post match interview with Sky Italia, made explicit his intentions at Sampdoria; opting for an attacking philosophy:

"We didn't go to the San Siro to defend. As I stated when I first arrived at Sampdoria, we will not play in order to simply avoid defeat: we will play to win."

"If we continue to play like this, we will create something very special here."
