Amidst rumoured interest from Manchester United, Juventus midfielder, Claudio Marchisio, has today quashed rumours that he could be leaving the Turin club during this transfer window.

Talking to Rai Sport, the Italian international stated:

"Every transfer window these things get talked about, I am pleased but I have a long contract at Juventus and I intend to honour it."

These comments come in the wake of Juventus director, Beppe Marotta, stating that Marchisio "loves the shirt":

"There is no problem with Marchisio. Claudio is a player who grew up in the Juventus youth teams and he loves the shirt. During a busy season it is inevitable that every player will have their lows, but everything is normal."

Marchisio also took the time to address the importance of tonight's Coppa Italia tie against AS Roma:

"It will be a great game."

"Roma are a very talented team with quality players beyond just Totti, players that we will need to keep a close eye on throughout the game."

"We have to win this trophy that we have been missing during our two years of success."
