January acquisition, Radja Nainggolan, has told the Corriere della Sera that he is happy with the move from Cagliari, stating that AS Roma is an excellent opportunity:

"Roma was an excellent opportunity for me. We have a big say in the Scudetto this season."

The Belgian international also revealed that while he had offers to move to England and Germany, he believes that extending his stay in the Serie A was his best option:

"My style of play suits the Serie A perfectly."

"I don't have any regrets for not looking at teams in England or Germany."

Giallorossi coach, Rudi Garcia, has spoken of his delight with the acquisition and what Nainggolan can bring to this Roma side. Garcia has told rtbf.be that the Belgian international is not seen as a 12th man for the squad, but as someone who can break into the starting eleven in the near future:

"Nainggolan is a top player. He was not signed to simply help us qualify for the Champions League, he was signed as a player who can be a major part of the club's future."

"Radja [Nainggolan] has a lot of qualities: he is athletic, physically strong, can play one-touch football and he has an eye for a pass. He can play lots of different positions, which is something I like a lot in a player."

"He is not seen as a 12th man, but as someone who can break into the starting eleven. He still has room for improvement and can become even more decisive for us, but he is already very important."

"He's exactly the type of player we were looking for."
