Juventus have today confirmed the signing of Romulo from Hellas Verona, on a year long loan deal. The club will be obliged to sign the player on a permanent deal if Rumolo is involved in 60% of Juve's games this season.

Speaking at his unveiling as a Juventus player, the Italian international stated that he will give his all in order to extend his initial one year stay in Turin:

“I’ve known of the club’s interest for a few months now and am very happy to join a winning team, it’s a dream come true."

"I’ve made plenty of sacrifices to get to where I am today and I will keep fighting to help Juventus continue their winning run. I’ll give all I’ve got for the club, my team-mates and the city.”

The 27 year old described his move to Juventus as a dream come true, citing his difficult upbringing as an incentive to prove himself at the Serie A champions:

"My family was poor but I was given good values. This is a dream come true for me."

"I made so many sacrifices to get here and now I’ll fight even harder to stay. I received many doors slammed in my face during my career, but it’s all in the past now."

Romulo revealed that he had spoken to Allegri briefly previously, and told him that he would prefer to be played on the right of the midfield:

“I met Allegri today and had already previously spoken to him. He asked me which was my preferred position, and I told him that I’m capable of operating anywhere down the right-hand side. I’m here to help the team and will play wherever I’m required.”
