Former A.C. Milan wonderkid, Alexandre Pato has reportedly been offered to Internazionale. A move back to Serie A is something that is deemed to be of great interest for the Brazilian international due his current legal battle over image rights with Corinthians

After scoring 41 Serie A goals in 84 games over three seasons for A.C. Milan, Pato was hailed at the most promising young forward in Europe. However his growth was stunted after a bright start to life in Europe due to injuries. In the following two years, the forward played just 15 games.

Fitness concerns

Due to a lack of game time in Milan, he moved home to Brazil with Corinthians paying £12.18m for his services in January 2013. After just one season and nine goals, he then joined rivals São Paulo FC on loan, where he once again failed to find his previous goal-scoring touch.

After leaving Milan back in 2013 for a return to Brazil, he's continued to struggle with injuries. Despite concerns regarding his fitness and form, Pato could be a very good addition to the Inter squad. A move back to the peninsula may rejuvenate his career both at club level and for his country.

A route back to Europe for Pato

While it may come as a surprise that the former AC Milan player would join their rivals, Pato doesn't have many other options in terms of a way back into European football.

The man who scored that individual stunner after 24 seconds at Camp Nou in A.C. Milan's 2011 UEFA Champions League campaign, can still be brought out and it would be great business by Inter if they can bring him back to Italy. It is yet to confirmed whether or not Inter are indeed keen on signing Pato, however one thing seems sure: Pato himself appears to be keen.
